Winter (or Spring) Weddings in Estes Park
St Malo
St Malo's is located in gorgeous Allenspark Colorado, just outside of Estes Park. This amazing Catholic Church is a wonderful option if you're looking to have your ceremony at a church, with a reception at one of Estes Parks incredible venues.
Della Terra Mountain Chateau
Della Terra is breathtaking no matter what time of year you're looking to get married. This snow storm hit in late Spring, so if you're hoping for snow in late April, it is possible!
Above you'll see the entrance to Della Terra with the Reception windows displayed in the bottom right. Directly below is the waterfall wall, the view of Della Terra from the highway 34, the amazing ceremony pad and the river that runs from Della Terra to the ceremony pad.
The Stanley Hotel
After receiving more than 2 feet of snow in multiple areas within Estes Park and Allenspark, we were able to capture some wonderful snowy spring images. The picture listed above gives you a little perspective on the scenery that surrounds the Stanley Hotel. With 15-20 mph winds on this snowy day, one minute it was snowing, the next front was blowing over the mountains.
Estes Park is simply gorgeous!
Wild Basin Lodge
We're often asked about a rustic location in the mountains and Wild Basin is typically on the top of our list!
This venue sits in Allenspark, CO (just outside of Estes) and is right up agains Rocky Mountain National Park. They offer cabins for guest which is a huge plus for a lot of our brides and grooms.
I think it was safe to say that Wild Basin was hit hard by this storm with snow waste deep! The river was flowing and snow was falling, but man was it hard to get around!
For those who are very familiar with Wild Basin, this is a shot of the River Ceremony Site! We weren't even able to get back to the Meadow Ceremony Site which had us heartbroken because the views are incredible!
Huge Thank You to all of the venues who allowed us out to photograph your locations with all of the snow! Can't wait to see what the weather throws at us during wedding season!
